Hierbei handelt es sich mal wieder um eine große Kuriosität, es sind Seitendeckel mit versetztem Drücker, ca.1983. Der Rahmen aber, ist aus Messing Glanz vernickelt, jetzt könnte man denken jemand hat einen alten Rahmen verbaut? Nein auf keinen Fall, denn er ist von unten, mit Japan beschriftet, außerdem ist das Antriebsrad, für die Schnurführung aus Kunststoff und nicht aus Alu wie eigentlich bei diesen Modellen und die Lagerung der Antriebswelle für den Schnurführer ist ebenfalls anderst?
Bei dieser Rolle, handelt es sich also um das Modell 2 Version 3! Vermutlich war das Ende, dieser Modellreihe jetzt beschlossen und man verarbeitete noch den überzähligen Lagerbestand zu Angelrollen? Um mit den vorhanden Teilen, noch etwas Umsatz zu erzielen? Sonst habe ich weiter keine logische Erklärung dafür?
This is yet another great curiosity: side covers with an offset push button, circa 1983. The frame, however, is made of polished nickel-plated brass. One might think someone used an old frame, but not at all. It’s marked „Japan“ on the underside, the drive wheel for the line guide is made of plastic, not aluminum as is typical for these models, and the bearing for the drive shaft is also different.
This reel is therefore a Model 2, Version 3! Perhaps the end of this model series had been decided, and they were using up the remaining stock to make fishing reels? To generate some revenue from the existing parts? I can’t think of any other logical explanation.

Hier erkennt man gut, das der Drücker nicht mehr aus Metall ist und auch um 90Grad versetzt wurde! Dieses ist vor allen Dingen für das Boots Fischen wichtig! Damit er von der Bootswandung nicht mehr von selbst gedrückt werden kann, was dann immer eine Perücke zur Folge hat!
Die neue Plakette ist jetzt Modell neutral, und für die Bezeichnung gibt es nur noch einen Aufkleber, für das jeweilige Modell, der allerdings sehr leicht abfällt!
Here you can clearly see that the trigger is no longer made of metal and has also been rotated 90 degrees! This is especially important for boat fishing! It prevents the trigger from being accidentally pushed down by the boat’s hull, which always results in a tangle!
The nameplate is now model-neutral, and there’s only a sticker for the specific model, which unfortunately falls off very easily!

Dies ist noch ein Karton alter Art zum Vergleich, der neue siehe nächstes Foto.
Der Karton ist etwas vereinfacht worden, er besteht nicht mehr wie vorher, aus einem Ober und Unterteil, leider ist er dadurch auch nicht mehr ganz so stabil!

The box has been simplified somewhat; it no longer consists of a top and bottom section as before, which unfortunately also makes it less sturdy.
Und auch das Zubehör ist eigentlich, bis auf die Bezeichnung fast gleich geblieben!

Ich finde am Spannendsten, das man bei der Kurbel einfach, auf den alten Lagerbestand zurück gegriffen hat und diese auf eine Sicherung für die Kurbelmutter umgebaut wurde. (Ähnlich hat man das viele Jahre vorher , auch bei Teilen der Quick Standard gemacht. Alter Lagerbestand nach einiger Zeit einfach in der laufender Serie verbaut).
Die neue Sicherungsplatte ist extrem wichtig, denn wenn man die Mutter zu fest anzieht, läuft die Rolle, schwergängig und unrund! Macht man sie zu locker fällt die Mutter ab! Übrigens das selbe Problem hatte ABU und andere Hersteller ebenfalls!
What I find most interesting is that they simply reused old stock for the crank and modified it to include a locking mechanism for the crank nut. (This was done similarly many years ago with parts from the Quick Standard reel. Old stock was simply reused in the ongoing production run after a while.)
The new locking plate is extremely important because if you tighten the nut too much, the reel will run stiffly and unevenly! If you loosen it too much, the nut will fall off! Incidentally, ABU and other manufacturers had the same problem!
