This is likely a pre-production model or a sales demonstration unit. This reel features an anti-reverse mechanism however, this was retrofitted by DAM at the factory. Furthermore, this reel was painted silver-grey rather than anodized!

The reel is actually well preserved. I haven’t seen anything like it before!

The reel even still features the full bail, in its very first version, made of steel wire.
